This project was to bring the theater into the home, with an Art Deco theme. Everything including sub and speaker boxes were made onsite and tuned for the space. Over 9,000w through 13 speakers and 4 bass shakers, with a sparkling star ceiling and 144″ screen.

Deco Home Theater

Walnut woodwork and columns with custom laser cut metal screens backlight the room, while a star ceiling glitters overhead. Drop in a movie and prepare to be blown away by a full Atmos 11 speaker system, assisted down low by twin 18″ subs tuned down to 14Hz. If that doesn’t shake things up enough, 4 bass shakers are built into the seats to ensure it’s felt. A JVC projector brings the magic to a 144″ acoustically transparent screen that hides the front speakers.

1/1 Design

No corners were cut to bring the Art Deco theme alive. Faux tin ceiling tiles, walnut woodwork along with gold metal accents complete the look inside. Outside the room, King Kong was chosen to fit the time period.

1/2 Construction

This project used existing concrete walls, and new framing to fit all of the speakers and aesthetic elements. All speakers were fitted in tuned custom enclosures built onsite, and the walls were sound treated to ensure the cleanest possible sound.
